Magazines.com wanted an organic Pinterest social post promoting an Allrecipes Beef Stir-Fry recipe. The original brief asked for a standard pin with illustrated recipe steps, but after researching Pinterest's new idea pins I suggested we experiment with adding an idea pin as well.
One idea pin can have up to 20 images and videos. By organizing our idea pin into recipe steps, reviews, and a call to action page, we were able to create a more in-depth recipe experience for our viewers.
People love Allrecipes for its collection of simple, family-friendly recipes and tips, so I kept all animations short and sweet. White highlighted video captions help the post feel native to Pinterest. For the illustrations, I mimicked the Allrecipes textured comic style.
